Research interests

I have interest in understanding the interactions between vegetation and climate and how the distribution of vegetation changes with the changing climate. As part of my research I am working with the dynamic vegetation model aDGVM2 with a focus to extend it to the global scale. For this I aim to include new vegetation types for temperate and boreal region by including new traits, trade-offs and processes that would allow it to simulate temperate and boreal vegetation. Afterward I will focus on adjusting and benchmarking the aDGVM2 at the global scale in order to project distribution of vegetation diversity and trait patterns at global scale and investigate impacts of climate change and disturbances.
