Research interests

Adaptation to changed environmental conditions on the molecular level:

- on the sequence level: Comparison of  putatively temperature relevant candidate genes from populations of different geographic origin and from different times (obtained from resting stages) in Daphnia

- on the transcriptomic level: Comparison of the  transcriptomic answers to environmental variation (e.g. different temperature treatments) in Daphnia  from several populations & linking transcriptomic expression patterns to phenotypic observed life-history traits
