Reading groups

Genomics Reading Group
We (a mix of students, postdocs and senior-level researchers) meet every Friday to discuss recent papers and research progress from the field of genomics. Our meetings are in English and usually last for 30-45 minutes.
Interested BiK-F members, students and associates are very welcome to join us!
Usually, we send out a paper for everyone to read, but sometimes we also include brief research presentations and discussions of methods/questions. A group has been created on the Teaming platform, available here . Updates are posted every week, please let us know if you have difficulties accessing this group.
Our discussions in the past have typically covered the topics of
- genomic basis of adaptation
- metagenomics
- transcriptomics
-multi-locus population genetics
-phylogenetics

When: Friday at 11 am
Where: Siesmayerstr. 70A, room 215 (seminar room), former BioCampus (next to Palmengarten)

For further information, please contact Frank Hailer, Simit Patel or Verena Kutschera.
