C4.2: PHYSIOLOGICAL ACCLIMATION OF OAKS

Research interests
Topics that fascinate me are the interactions of different processes in trees like water balance and photosynthesis, as well as the possibilities and ways they cope with changing climate conditions. For me trees are very interesting objects to study, because of their longevity and durability. In the course of my PhD thesis I will monitor the water balance and efficiency of the photosynthetic apparatus of pedunculate oaks at different stands in Hesse to look for differences and similarities in their behavior to abiotic influences.

Topic of PhD thesis:
Water balance of broadleaf trees

Diploma thesis:
Photosynthesis and water balance of oaks
