Prof. Dr. Birgit Blättel-Mink

RESEARCH ACTIVITY 9: KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER AND SOCIAL-ECOLOGICAL DIMENSIONS

Birgit Blättel-Mink holds a professorship in Sociology with main focus on Sociology of Industry and of Organisation at Goethe-University, Department of Social Sciences. She is involved in PROJECT GROUP 9-2: STAKEHOLDER DIALOGUES AND RESOURCE USE CONCEPTS and FOREST AND FORESTRY SYSTEMS OF THE FUTURE.

Her main research interests are: sustainable consumption, economy and sustainability, methods of user integration in decision making and innovation processes, gender relations, transdisciplinarity. She studied Sociology in Mannheim, received her PhD from University of Heidelberg and finished her habilitation at University of Stuttgart. She has been visiting scholar in Ireland and Portugal.
