7-4.1: THE RISK OF ESTABLISHMENT OF AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES

Research interests/current works
My research work constitutes zoonotic diseases, in particular consideration of native mammalian species including their protozoan and metazoan parasite fauna and pathogens. In centre of interest stands thereby the epidemiological potential of small mammals and parasitic vectors. My further issues are research about introduced zoonotic diseases. Examinations of organisms are carried out by modern biotechnological methods like PCR, Sequencing, ELISA, Western-Blot-Analyses and Giemsa-staining as well as microscopic analyses.
